I was drowning in tax debt and honestly terrified of the IRS, but Joe came in like a seasoned veteran and handled it. From our first phone call he spoke in clear, reassuring language, explaining every step so I never felt lost or embarrassed. [...] In the end Joe reduced what I owed to a fraction of the original amount, and set up a payment plan I can actually afford, [...] I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Dealing with the IRS after five years of unfiled tax returns and [...] in back taxes was terrifying. [...] They were super clear, acted fast, and managed to get my penalties reduced [...] Thanks to them, I'm finally back on track.
Me and my husband were desperate for answers an we are so beyond thankful for this team [...] they not only answered all of our questions and took the stress away but handled all of our debt with the IRS.
We had a tax issue and they handled it. Our balance was reduced by $20,000, couldn’t be more thankful for [...] and his team.
[...] He saved me thousands, was a great communicator and didn't drag this nightmare on and on.
After the levy
What happens next
Read the notice
The levy notice names the tax years and the amount. We check the dates with you.
Contact the IRS
We ask the IRS for a release where the rules allow it, for example with a payment plan or a hardship.
Fix the cause
A payment plan, an offer or currently not collectible status, so the levy does not come back.

The first conversation
What the first conversation looks like
You bring the IRS letters, or read them out on the phone from anywhere in the country. We listen first, then ask what we need to know.
We go through what the IRS claims, what you earn and which deadline runs, in plain words.
You leave knowing your options, or with an honest answer that we are not the right fit.

Questions
Common questions about bank levies and liens
How long does the bank hold the money?
After the bank receives an IRS levy, it holds the money in the account for 21 days before it sends it to the IRS. That is the time to ask for a release.
Can a bank levy be released?
Sometimes. The IRS can release a levy, for example when it causes economic hardship or when a payment arrangement is in place. We ask for it where the rules allow it.
Can a federal tax lien be removed?
A lien is released once the debt is paid or settled. In some cases the IRS withdraws the lien notice, for example with a direct debit payment plan, or discharges a property from the lien so it can be sold.
